ELEANORA PORTIA BAFFOUR-AGYEI (EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR)

PROFILE

Eleanora is passionate about and dedicated to women and children’s health, development, education, and grooming. She is equally committed to child health and wellbeing. She is the Founder of the Centre for Pregnancy and Childbirth Education (CePaCE).

Eleanora holds a Bachelor of Art degree in French and Linguistics from the University of Ghana. She has also completed two Master’s degrees; Diplomacy (University of Nottingham), and Global Health and Infectious Diseases (University of Edinburgh). She serves on boards of some health and education NGOs in Ghana. Eleanora has interests in health education, research, advocacy and community engagement. Her research interest is in maternal and child health, Non-Communicable Disease (NCDs), and health systems.

 

 

DR. GENEVIEVE INSAIDOO (PROGRAMMES DIRECTOR)

PROFILE

Dr. GENEVIEVE INSAIDOO is a medical doctor and a Paediatrician. She holds a membership with both the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons and the West African College of Physicians. She serves as one of the directors of CEPACE, a non-governmental organization, focused on education and advocacy to improve maternal and child health.

She ardently believes that no mother should lose her life while giving life and all children deserve a chance at life irrespective of where they are born. This fuels her drive to empower all around her through teaching and advocacy to improve health of mothers and children.

 

 

ARABA SAM ANNAN (LEGAL ADVISER/DIRECTOR)

PROFILE

Araba Sam Annan has a combined experience in the legal profession and public health. Prior to a career in law, she worked in the public health sector for over 8 years. She has a passion for children and young people’s health and well-being. Being part of the make-up of CEPACE Ghana helps her to bring such passion to bear.  She is a dedicated professional with a combination of integrity, solid work ethics and a can-do attitude. She sees public health as integral to development and socio-economic well-being because it is the embodiment of education, prevention, and care. Cepace provides her a niche for her to contribute her quota to the larger society especially children’s well-being. She hopes through the work CEPACE does, many more people will rally around to help children have better access to health care.

 

 

MAGDALENE SHIRLEY TAYLOR (FINANCE DIRECTOR) 

PROFILE

Magdalene Shirley Taylor, a Financial Economist by profession and the Finance Director for Centre for Pregnancy and Childbirth Education, (CePaCE), has extensive experience in financial modelling and techniques, financial reporting, and strategic planning. She is responsible for overseeing all financial activities and reporting, budgeting, disbursing funds, managing risk, implementing policies, and improving financial processes and maintaining financial security.

Magdalene has excellent commercial and business awareness and good people management skills, and she is highly confident.

She is a strong advocate for good health care in the country and the community especially in Maternal and Child Health. As the Finance Director for CePaCE GHANA for over 9 years, Shirley is devoted to the well-being of women and children and believes that every woman and child regardless of their financial status should have access to quality health care.

She loves all sports and enjoys reading.
